I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology whilst living in the North east of Scotland. The availability of university courses advancing my psychology are slim and centralised around Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Clinical and Forensic Psychology especially are underrepresented in universities across Scotland with no distance learning options available at all with BPS accreditation. I am a single parent with Acadeky aged children that require stability in home, education and lifestyle so moving is not an option. Affordability or appropriate accomodation would also pose a huge barrier to me personally. More needs to be done to allow students to advance their education. This may begin within Academies where a broader subject choice can me made available, for example psychology. A subject that is not widely offered yet is higly taken up by students
