We need to ensure our children have the right skills and knowledge for the world we live in and the world of their future. We need to ensure high levels of literacy in English, the international language of choice and provide language training for languages likely to become more important eg Chinese. Focusing on Gaelic is backward, a bit like forcing people to learn Latin in bygone days. Make sure technology is cutting edge in schools and link with higher education to bring early understanding and knew knowledge to school children. Let's be cutting edge not mediocre. Scottish education used to be recognised as of a high quality, unfortunately no longer.
