Better public transport options and the optiobs should work together for a coordinated approach. In East Ayrshire, we need the electrification of the railway line from Carlisle to Glasgow this will offer more trains to both cities and provide a better service to the villages on the line. The opening of new stations in villages along the line will also benefit local communities. There needs to be a traffic reduction in the main town centre of Kilmarnock and more cycle ways across the town.
