There is a need for more trainee positions so that young people and those over 50 can retrain in the event of redundancy and the long term unemployed can get a foothold on the workforce. Also CV's over application packs: it takes 2 hours to do an application pack over 30 seconds to attach your CV. Online applications should only ask for a back history of 5 years rather than a complete work history and an attached CV button would deal with the history aspect.
