Revitalise Scotland’s high streets

Revitalise Scotland’s high streets

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on the retail industry and high streets across Scotland. Parliament should investigate how best to revitalise high streets and provide local communities access to vital products and services, as well as fulfilling careers. Committees should scrutinise the Scottish Government’s retail offering and think critically about the idea of the cumulative policy burden on brick and mortar store premises. Support for Scotland’s high streets and retail workers to adapt now will develop greater resilience for a sustainable future.
