Planning Jurys - Fairer and more representation for communities. Using the current jury service infrastructure, members of the public are selected to hear a more objective (trial) argument compared with the local Council sales pitch (Aberdeen local council is in my view is terrible - hope its better elsewhere). Two sides argue the merits for and against an application and the selected Jurors give a verdict of for, against or for with conditions on major planning applications in their area - the final decision goes to the randomly selected juror's from the local population - not politicians or indeed the 'Reporter'.
