Do you think more localised community involvement by politicians and communities would help more people get involved nationally? Local communities know what they need. Establish connections and we can do that better if we are talking about the environment they live in, that is relevant to them. And must involve local MSPs to ensure impact. Workshops, focus groups etc that connect local issues to the national work of Parliament.
Most of us are more focussed on our immediate environment. Seeing that the national improves the local would improve engagement and reduce the notion that Parliament is more about Edinburgh than it is about Shettleston.
