Sexual and Reproductive health support for young people

Sexual and Reproductive health support for young people

Rural young people report facing practical and social barriers to accessing support for their sexual and reproductive health. Accessing confidential support and information for sexual wellbeing can be difficult for individuals in very remote rural areas where transport is sparse, and where healthcare professionals are known personally. These issues need to be addressed, upholding rural young peoples human right to access quality RSHP education and confidential, accessible safe spaces for sexual health support is vital to improve future mental and physical health and wellbeing outcomes
