Need for bespoke rural assessment of national policy change

Need for bespoke rural assessment of national policy change

Central Scotland Policy should not automatically be rolled out to rural Scotland without impact assessment. A prime example is the Vaccination Transformation Programme which has resulted in concerns being raised by Highland patients, primary care, public health and emergency departments. This has driven unnecessary ED attendances, made patient vaccination more complex and forced patients to travel greater distances.
