Given we are a remote and rural Board in NHS D&G - we require to support our staff and communities with ease of access to digital technology - thus reducing the need to travel (climate sustainability) and ensuring digital innovation is viewed as a digital first approach not only to health care but for the social care needs for individuals
Digital alternatives should not be the only way forward and should not penalise those older people and disabled people who want to remain as independent as possible and wantalternatives because they cannot always use the digital options, or feel confident and comfortable with them.
Digital exclusion is a problem... With digital devices being the gateway to so many services, those unable to access or operate them are effectively excluded from those services.
