Given clear recommendations from the World Health Organisation and others that health harming commodities industries, including large food producers, should have no involvement in public health policy decision-making as it represents a clear conflict of interest, why does making decisions on public health policy fall within the remit of the newly established New Deal for Business Group? In light of this, will public health and relevant third sector organisations also be considered in a similar manner to ensure they also have their voices heard?
