Further investment in innovative use of technology to address particular healthcare challenges in remote and rural communities offers great potential. It is essential that communities / services are on board and are accepting of these innovative new ways of working. e.g. use of drones – factors such as evidence, risk tolerance, cost, public acceptability, willingness all required consideration. NHS Drone collection and delivery service could offer tangible solutions.
