Our collective public health response to the pandemic demonstrated what was possible with action at scale. Preventative healthcare should be front and centre of NHS Scotland to enable prevention and early intervention at scale working in partnership with the wider public sector, 3rd sector and communities. Effectively prevention can mitigate or defer costly healthcare interventions and deliver better outcomes for individuals.
