In remote and rural areas, there is more integration of service, and the interface is not as big a barrier to collaborative working. From a hospital pharmacy perspective, it is easier to work across pharmacy sectors and across professions. Contractual barriers get in the way of community care sometimes, but sometimes in smaller communities integrated care is more likely as culturally the barriers are perceived to be less.
