Public relationships with Healthcare professionals

Public relationships with Healthcare professionals

In remote and rural areas, the public are more likely to know their pharmacist and see the same professional, so build up a relationship which is conducive to patient centred care. Healthcare is seen as less transactional in remote and rural areas, and in this context long term relationships between health professionals and patients can and are built. There is an expectation that your pharmacist will be involved in your care in these areas and we should maximise on this and ensure the skills of pharmacy teams are utilised.
