In remote and rural areas, there is more opportunity for flexible and modular portfolio working by healthcare professionals to meet local need, which allows for flexibility of the service. This also increases job satisfaction for some which in turn can lead to better retention in the roles they undertake. We need more opportunities for this kind of working.
