In remote and rural areas, pharmacy teams tend to be smaller. This is a challenge which doesn’t provide much scope to cover sickness etc., especially where the geography is larger. This can provide an added burden to teams in remote and rural areas. It should be recognised that improved resilience is required within the professional population of those areas.
