why are GPs not all singing from the same hymn sheet

why are GPs not all singing from the same hymn sheet

I have 1 GP who was quite unwell with Covid early 2021 I try to see/speak to him when needed as he understands me and doesn’t respond with “you’ll need to try harder to fight through this”. I wrote to the 1st Minister via mr Matheson about 18 months ago asking what NHS Scotland were doing to help people with LC. The reply was “speak to your own GP he will direct you to the appropriate clinicians”. When I showed my GP the email he laughed saying “I know nothing about this, if I did you know me well enough that I would refer you to someone that I thought would help”. It’s like a post code lottery, how can the Scottish Government tell you to go down this road when they know it’s a dead end. I asked my GP about a referral to the LC clinic in FV but he knew nothing about it. How can this be???? NOTE: Aspects of this question were discussed in Committee on the 12th September 2023.
